Los Angeles, Feb 11 (IANS) Singers Paul McCartney, Adele and Beyonce Knowles walked away with awards in different categories at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held here Sunday night.

Los Angeles, Feb 11 — Singers Paul McCartney, Adele and Beyonce Knowles walked away with awards in different categories at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held here Sunday night.

While McCartney won the best traditional pop vocal album for "Kisses On The Bottom", Knowles was given the award for best traditional R&B performance for her song "Love On Top" from her album "4".

McCartney pipped Michael Buble's "Christmas" and Carole King's "A Holiday Carole" to win the honour.

Adele walked away with the winner's trophy in the best pop solo performance category for "Set Fire To The Rain [Live]". She was competing alongside Kelly Clarkson ("Stronger"), Carly Rae Jepsen ("Call Me Maybe"), Katy Perry ("Wide Awake") and Rihanna ("Where Have You Been").

Apart from Knowles, those nominated for the best traditional R&B performance were Anita Baker for "Lately", Melanie Fiona for "Wrong Side Of A Love Song", Gregory Porter for "Real Good Hands" and Sisters with Voices for "If Only You Knew".
